ORANGE WAVE The Flushing Red Devils are on a winning streak. They blasted the Thomas Jefferson Orange Wave by a devilish score of 56-6. The Red Devils had a total of 356 yards, while the Orange Wave only totaled of 193 yards on offense. For the Red Devils, Terrence Chavis completed 9 of 10 passing attempts, throwing for a whopping four touchdowns to go along with 152 passing yards. On the ground, senior D’Andre Sapp ran for 131 yards and a touchdown on eight attempts. For the Orange Wave, sophomore Olatundo J. Bruin went 10-14 through the air. Bruin had a total of 141 passing yards to go along with a touchdown and an interception. Next up for the Red Devils will be the New Utrecht Utes. BULL DOGS VS. KNIGHTS The Campus Magnet Bull Dogs are out of the doghouse after their fi rst win of the season by beating the John F. Kennedy Knights by a score of 28-12. The Bull Dogs had a total of 260 offensive yards with 170 of them coming on the ground. Senior Roy Harvey was the offensive star for the Bull Dogs, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts. Junior Que Ruan Mosby completed seven of 15 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. Next up for the Bull Dogs will be the Brooklyn Technical Engineers. COMMODORES VS. GOLDEN EAGLES The Bayside Commodores beat the Springfi eld Gardens Golden Eagles by a score of 12-6. The Commodores had a total of 355 offensive yards. The Golden Eagles, meanwhile, went nowhere with only 94 yards. Commodores player Marcus Watson had a team high 77 yards on the ground to go along with one touchdown. Senior Nicolas Giraldo added a touchdown. For the Golden Eagles, junior quarterback Allassane Coulibaly went 4-14 for 70 yards and an interception. He added the team’s only touchdown on the ground. Next up for the Commodores will be the William E. Grady Falcons. SPARTANS VS. KNIGHTS The John Adams Spartans lost their last game to the Franklin K. Lane Knights by a score of 26-8. The Spartans had a total of 200 yards, with the Knights edging them out with 210 yards. For the Knights, junior Brandon Cruz had a team high 70 yards on the ground with a touchdown. Cruz added a touchdown on defense as well. The defensive star of the game for the Knights was senior Jasier Cepeda Anderson. Anderson had three interceptions and brought one back for a touchdown. Junior Gustaviour Brown completed eight of 21 passes, throwing for 82 yards and three interceptions. Brown had the team’s only touchdown, rushing for the goal line in the third quarter. Next up for the Spartans will be the Franklin D. Roosevelt Cougars.
