MONSIGNOR MCCLANCY MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
is beginning its 61st year of service in Queens. It is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school which is part of an
association of 11 schools in the US, England, and the Philippines conducted in the educational tradition of the Brothers of the
Sacred Heart. This tradition provides a quality education for young men and women from diverse academic, social, cultural and
religious backgrounds, fully in-terweaving gospel values and Catholic teachings with the core curriculum.
The school incorporates a dynamic Campus Ministry Program with a strong mission and service component. Students are
offered a disciplined and nur-turing environment, which promotes growth in scholarship, leadership, and outreach. Opportunities
are available for college credit and Advanced Place-ment, as well as challenging honors courses in all subject areas.

McClancy offers courses in theology and religious values as well as liturgical and community-centered spiritual experiences
that mark the major feasts of the Catholic Church.
Acceptance to McClancy is based on the results of the Catholic High School Entrance Exam (TACHS) as well as the student’s
academic record. Those who qualify may receive an academic scholarship to attend. The school offers it students extensive
opportunities for computerized programs of study as well as fine arts offerings with a variety of basic and advanced art
programs. The school utilizes the Gradebook System in which parents, faculty, and students may interact electronically for
assignments and posted progress. Currently, McClancy makes use of a BYOD (“Bring Your Own Device”) Program.
The school’s co-curricular activities offer students the opportunity for social, cultural, and creative experiences. The athletic
program is highly competi-tive, proven by its numerous city championship titles.
McClancy is permanently chartered by the State of New York and fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Secondary
Schools and Colleges. Each year 99% of McClancy graduates go on to higher education.
