The victim was running in the park at about 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 when the suspect grabbed her from behind as she passed by him, cops said. She managed to escape his grasp, but the suspect was able to steal her headphones before fleeing. Police describe the suspect as a white man, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and baggy blue jeans. The pair, a man and a woman, went to the victim’s 74th Avenue Screenshot via NYPD home just after noon on Sept. 10 and told him they needed to check his fuse box, cops said. He let them inside, and the suspects went into the basement, where they checked the fuse box, plugged a light into a receptacle and told the victim to wait for the light to change color. While the woman and the victim waited in the basement, the other suspect went upstairs and took $70,000 from the victim’s dresser, according to authorities. The two suspects then fled the scene. The pair apparently drove a van into the lot of S & L Aerospace Metals, at 120th Street near 28th Avenue, around 7:40 a.m. on Sept. 13 before taking off with the aluminum, authorities said. According to its website, S & L Aerospace has been a “key supplier” to the aircraft industry since 1967. The suspect approached the victim inside of the elevator in a building near Elmhurst Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, according to authorities. After coming up to her from behind, the man rubbed his private area against the woman, over the clothing. The victim was not injured in the assault. Police said that the suspects went into the 74th Street store, Omkar Jewellers, around 7 p.m. on Aug. 21 and the woman distracted the clerk while the man reached over the counter and took four bangle bracelets. The woman is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 180 pounds, and was wearing glasses, a black blouse and gray jeans. The man is described as Hispanic and about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and was wearing a blue baseball hat, red shirt and white shorts. The men, who range in age from 15 to 22, are alleged to be members of three street gangs known as SNOW, Loyalty Over Everything and Young Bosses, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown. Under the first indictment, 17 of the alleged members are being charged for conspiring to kill two supposed members of a rival gang in retaliation for the fatal shooting of a SNOW gang member, Brown said. In the second indictment, 16 people were charged with conspiring to commit robberies, after the alleged leader of the SNOW gang, 17-year-old Daquan Monroe, allegedly ordered them to do so in order to raise money to bail him out of Rikers Island, officials said. On Sept. 16, 20 of the men in custody were arraigned in the Queens Supreme Court and 11 of the other alleged members are currently being sought. Out of the 17 charged on the first indictment, 16 are being charged with conspiracy and face up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted. The remaining defendant is a juvenile and faces up to ten years in prison if convicted. In the conspiracy to commit robberies, if convicted, two men face up to 25 years in prison, four men face up to seven years and the remaining 10 face up to four years.
