Jamaica man fatally shot
in Rockaway Beach: NYPD
A man was shot to death in Rockaway
Beach on Friday, Sept. 18, according to
authorities.
Officers from the 100th Precinct
responded to a 911 regarding the
shooting near 351 Beach 88th St. at
approximately 2:30 p.m. Sept. 18.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers
found 23-year-old Steven Daniels, of
Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica, unconscious

Cops looking for man
who sexually assaulted
woman in Corona
Th e NYPD is looking for a man who sexually
assaulted a woman as she was taking
out the trash in Corona earlier this month.
On Monday, Sept. 14, around 10 p.m., a
woman was taking out the trash in front
of her house in the vicinity of 40th Road
and Junction Boulevard, according to the
NYPD.
An unidentifi ed man approached her
and grabbed her buttocks before running
off toward Junction Boulevard, police
said.Th
e man was last seen wearing a black
shirt, ripped jeans, a hat and a shoulderslung
backpack, according to the NYPD.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.

Cops seek suspect who
choked 62-year-old man at
Long Island City gas station
Th e NYPD is looking for a man
who randomly choked and punched a
62-year-old at a Long Island City gas station
last month.
On Monday, Aug. 31, around 2:35
p.m., a 62-year-old man was standing at a
Shell gas station, located at 38-02 21st St.,
when an unidentifi ed man approached
him, according to the NYPD.
Th e man attacked the 62-year-old by
placing him in a chokehold and punching
him the face, cops said. Th e attacker
then reached inside the victim’s pocket
and took out $4 before fl eeing the gas
station on foot, according to the police.
Th e 62-year-old refused medical attention.
Police recovered surveillance video of
the suspect shortly aft er the attack.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.
