Man hit over head with a glass
bottle & scalded with hot
water in Flushing dispute
A heated exchange of words escalated
into a violent clash in Flushing earlier this
summer, according to cops.
On June 7 at around 8:50 p.m., two
male individuals inside a home at Main
Street and Cherry Avenue were engaged
in a verbal argument when the suspect hit
a 45-year-old victim over the head with a
glass bottle and threw hot water on him.
Upon contacting authorities, the victim
was transported to NewYork-
Presbyterian/Queens hospital with second

degree burns; his injuries, however,
were not considered life-threatening.
Th e suspect fl ed the residence in an
unknown direction. Police could not provide
details on whose residence the altercation
took place in or the details of the
dispute.
Police described the suspect as an Asian
male in his 30s with a bald head. He was
last seen wearing a red shirt.
Th e incident was reported to the 109th
Precinct.

Southeast Queens
Suspect slashed two people
at a south Queens park
Th e man who slashed two individuals
at a playground in Hollis on the
aft ernoon of Sept. 10 remains at large,
according to police.
Law enforcement sources said the assault
took place at about 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 10 at
the Bellaire Playground located at the corner
of Hillside Avenue and 207th Street.
Sources familiar with the investigation
stated that the unidentifi ed suspect
— described as a black man who stands
6 feet tall — pulled out a sharp object
and sliced a 17-year-old man in the face
and a 22-year-old man in the right thigh
before fl eeing the scene. Th e motive for
the attack is not yet known.
Offi cers from the 105th Precinct and
EMS units responded to the scene. Th e
victims were brought to a local hospital
for treatment of injuries that were not
considered life-threatening.
No arrests have been made, and the
investigation is ongoing.

Robber who shot a man
to steal his chain in South
Ozone Park still at large
Police are looking for a man who shot
someone in the ankle so he could take his
chain on a South Ozone Park street.
At 10:55 a.m. on the morning of Sept.
4, law enforcement sources said, an
unknown man approached a 44-year-old
man in the vicinity of 128th Street and
Sutter Avenue and displayed a fi rearm.
When the victim tried to run away, the
suspect shot him in the left ankle.
Following the shooting, authorities
noted, the suspect snatched the victim’s
chains from around his neck and fl ed the
scene southbound on 129th Street in a silver
coupe.
Th e suspect is described as a dark
skinned man in his 20s, standing 5 feet, 9
inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He
was last seen wearing a black baseball cap,
a black hooded sweater and dark colored
jeans. Th e vehicle is described as a silver
two door Nissan Altima possibly with
Connecticut license plates.

Heights
5-year-old boy jumps
to death in Corona
A 5-year-old Corona boy was found
by police with severe trauma to his body
on Sunday aft er he had fallen outside of
a third-fl oor window.
According to police, offi cers from the
115th Precinct responded to a 911 call
at a home on 99th Street near 37th
Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. on Sept 10.

Upon arriving, police found 5-year-old
William Chen unconscious and unresponsive
in his home.
Chen was being watched by his grandparents
at the home, which was under
construction. He was using the bathroom
on the third fl oor and struggled
to open the door. Th e bathroom lock
was faulty, police said, so the 5-year-old
attempted to escape the room through
the third-fl oor window.
Chen was transported to NewYork-
Presbyterian/Queens, where he was pronounced
dead. His body was transported
to the Offi ce of the Chief Medical
Examiner for an autopsy.
