Students learning and sharing Jewish heritage BY LIAM LA GUERE [email protected]/@liamlaguerre Three Queens students completed the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust High School Apprenticeship Program, and are now prepared to share their knowledge with others. Nadia Persaud of South Ozone Park, Oscar Escobar of Jamaica Estates and Tenzin Choeyang of Woodside graduated from the Manhattan museum’s program, which ran in the form of after-school seminars from February to May. Now during the summer, Persaud, a student from High School for Construction; Escobar, a junior from Bayside High School; and Choeyang, a junior from Flushing International High School, will be assisting museum staff in educating people about Jewish life over the past century, including the Holocaust. From July to August, the students will give tours of the museum, and also work in a variety of departments for a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look and insight on career options.
