Weinstein Memorial Youth Art Gallery of the Douglaston/Little Neck Community Library opened on June 25th to much fanfare and success. A capacity crowd watched as 31 participating student-artists from P.S. 221-The North Hills School in Little Neck received NYS Assembly Certificates of Merit from the office of NYS Assembly Member Edward C. This new exhibit is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglaston/Little Neck Community Library. The Sylvia E. Weinstein Memorial Youth Art Gallery is dedicated to the display of artwork by Douglaston/Little Neck local area schoolchildren on a rotational basis. Since its inaugural exhibit on June 26, 2014 the artwork of students from Little Neck’s P.S. 94 and Douglaston’s Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy and P.S. 98 has been showcased.
