The accident happened at about 9:25 p.m. on July 3 on Main Street near Booth Memorial Avenue, according to the FDNY. According to published reports, the ambulette struck a car before going into the fence and off a ledge into the side of the hospital. Two people, the driver and a passenger, reportedly suffered minor injuries. The crash was under investigation. CAR CRASHES INTO STORE AT BAY TERRACE SHOPPING CENTER A woman crashed her car into an Aeropostale store at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center, shattering the front window and nearly taking out shoppers, according to offi cials. The FDNY said the crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. on July 5 on Bell Boulevard and 23rd Street in Bayside. Only minor injuries were reported, according to the 109th Precinct’s Twitter page. According to published reports, there were 14 people inside the store when the collision occurred. Three large clothing shelves reportedly fl ew to the back of the store as a result. The manager of the store was reportedly taken to the hospital after experiencing a panic attack. A witness said the 90-year-old driver was trying to park and accidentally accelerated instead, according to reports. As of press time, the investigation was ongoing. 111th Precinct Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck, Auburndale, Hollis Hills and Fresh Meadows MOTHER, DAUGHTER KILLED IN TWO-CAR BAYSIDE CRASH A family car ride turned tragic in Bayside when a Flushing mother and her 10-year-old child were killed after a speeding car collided with their vehicle, police said. The crash, on 210th Street near 64th Avenue, also sent 42-year-old Susana Ha’s parents and her 8-year-old daughter to the hospital, according to authorities. An investigation by police determined that the crash happened at about 6 p.m. on July 1 as a Ford Explorer driven by a 46-year-old woman started speeding northbound on 210th Street, veered to the left and crossed the double yellow line, striking the left side of the family’s Toyota Camry. The Camry, with Ha’s 74-year-old father behind the wheel, then mounted the sidewalk before striking a tree stump and then a fi re hydrant, police said. All fi ve occupants of the Camry’s occupants were taken to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where Ha and her daughter, Angelica Ung, were pronounced dead. Ha’s father was listed in stable condition, while her 67-year-old mother and 8-year-old daughter were in critical condition. The driver of the Ford Explorer was also transported to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition. There have been no arrests, police said. 114th Precinct Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Jackson Heights COPS ARREST MAN WHO ROBBED ASTORIA BANK IN WHEELCHAIR Police have found the perpetrator who stole more than $1,000 in cash from an Astoria Bank before fl eeing in a wheelchair. Astoria resident Kelvin Dennison, 23, has been charged with robbery after entering the Santander Bank at 37-10 Broadway around 2:10 p.m. on June 29 and passing a note to the teller demanding money, authorities said. Dennison took $1,212 in cash and fl ed westbound on Broadway in a wheelchair. According to published reports, Dennison was arrested on Wednesday after a citizen recognized him at a local hospital and made a 911 call in which offi - cers from the 114th Precinct responded. Authorities are still not clear why Dennison was at the hospital. Dennison was charged with third-degree robbery and held on $15,000 cash bail following his arraignment on July 2.
