During the luncheon, the chamber also presented its $1,000 Ernie Davis Memorial Scholarship to local student Elisabeth Anne Vecchio, who is attending the Columbus School of Art and Design in Ohio. Chamber members also nominated its executive board for the upcoming year. Joe Morra and Frank McIntyre of Royal Waste; Rudy Auslander, JFK Chamber executive director; Dolores Hofman, Queens Air Service Development Office; Bill Huisman, Aviation Development Council; Verdia Noel; and Thomas Kelliher, Chamber president from Airport Medical Offices. Bank hits links to help charity On June 22, Dime Savings Bank held its annual charitable golf outing at Lake Success Golf Club. This year’s event benefitted Helen Keller Services for the Blind and The Children’s Learning Center, Cerebral Palsy Nassau County. The event was a huge success and raised over $65,000. In the four years Dime has hosted this event, they have raised almost $250,000 benefiting 7 local community organizations. 1.
