The incident occurred aboard a Q88 bus near the Horace Harding Expressway and Kissena Boulevard about 9 a.m. on April 7, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 112TH PRECINCT Forest Hills and Rego Park Woman throws coffee, punch at F train rider A 53-year-old woman received quite a jolt on a Queens subway train when a fellow rider threw coffee in her face before punching her, according to police. The assault happened aboard an F train as it was traveling through the Rego Park/Forest Hills area on April 2, cops said. The victim received minor injuries as a result of the attack, officials said. Police seek suspect in Forest Hills slashing An 18-year-old was attacked in Forest Hills when a man slashed him before fleeing, cops said. The assault happened about 4 p.m. on April 9 near 62nd Avenue and Yellowstone Boulevard, according to police. The teen, who was injured above his right ear and required stitches, was treated at a local hospital and released, officials said. PHOTO COURTESY NYPD Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 114TH PRECINCT Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Jackson Heights Police fatally shoot armed man in Astoria who allegedly shot, killed daughter Cops shot and killed an elderly man who they believe fatally shot his daughter inside an Astoria home, police said. Officers arrived at the 38th Street residence about 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, in response to a 9-1-1 call of a family dispute involving a gun, officials said. According to a police source, the caller said he had shot his daughter and a dog. PHOTO COURTESY NYPD Two cops were confronted by a man, identified by police as 86-year-old Jack Calvello, who was holding a shotgun. The officers told Calvello to drop his weapon, police said. He then allegedly turned in the direction of the cops, and one of the officers shot him once in the torso. Calvello was taken to Mt. Sinai Queens, where he was pronounced dead. His 65-year-old daughter, identified as Carolann Matyka, was found in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to the head and taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, cops said. She was pronounced dead about 3:45 p.m. A dog was also found inside the home with a neck injury and it was removed by the ASPCA for treatment, police said, and a 12-gauge shotgun was recovered at the scene. Suspects beat up 17-year-old employee, steal $30K from Astoria deli PHOTOS COURTESY NYPD A teen was roughed up during an Astoria deli robbery, where the suspects took off with $30,000 in cash, cops said. Two of the suspects entered the business, the En-Express Deli, on Main Avenue, about 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, and asked the victim, a 17-year-old employee, for help in the rear of the store, police said. The suspects then allegedly beat up the teen and forced him into a back room of the deli while one of the suspects let two additional suspects into the store. The first suspect then acted as a lookout while the other suspects took $30,000 from a lockbox before the four of them fled, officials said. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the robbery. Police have released a photo of the first two suspects, and describe them as two men between the ages of 20 and 25. The theft took place about 2 a.m. April 7, at the Unity Gallega of the United States club located on 31st Avenue near 37th Street, according to police. The pair stole a total of $12,000 before fleeing, officials said.
