Sunnyside last month because the suspect believed the victim was videoing his argument with another commuter, police said. Th e NYPD released on Dec. 28 images and video of the slugger wanted for the incident that occurred on a Flushingbound 7 train at the 46th Street station, in the vicinity of Queens Boulevard and 46th Street, at 11 p.m. on Dec. 22. According to law enforcement sources, the 45-year-old man was riding the train when he observed the suspect in a verbal dispute with another man. Seconds later, police said, the suspect — believing that the 45-year-old man had videoed the argument — punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the fl oor of the car. Both the suspect and victim departed the train at 46th Street, but the victim remained at the station and called 911. Offi cers from the 108th Precinct and NYPD Transit Division 20 responded to the incident; the victim refused medical treatment. Police described the assailant as a black man between 18 and 20 years of age, standing 6 feet tall with a medium build and black hair. He was last observed wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a long white jacket. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 109th Precinct College Point, Flushing, Whitestone ATM scammers make illegal withdrawals Police are looking for four individuals who used ATM skimmers to steal money from victims living within the confi nes of the 109th Precinct — which covers areas of Flushing, College Point and Whitestone. Between May and July 2016, four unidentifi ed individuals installed skimming devices — gadgets used to steal personal and account information from unsuspecting users — on ATM’s and recorded victims’ account information, police said. Using the illegally obtained debit card numbers and corresponding pin numbers, the suspects then created duplicate debit cards and made unauthorized withdrawals from the victims’ accounts. Th e fi rst suspect is described as a male, white or Hispanic, last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, white t-shirt under a dark colored blazer, black pants and red shoes. Th e second suspect is described as a male, white or Hispanic, last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap and a blue jogging suit. Th e third suspect is described as a male, white or Hispanic, last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, dark pants and a brown hat. Th e fourth suspect is described as a male, white or Hispanic, last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black blazer, gray pants and white sneakers. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 114th Precinct Astoria and Long Island City Gunman robs cash from Astoria grocery store Police are looking for a man who robbed a grocery store in Astoria at gunpoint last fall and got away with a couple hundred dollars in cash. On Nov. 28 at about 2:20 p.m., the suspect entered AB News and Grocery at 23-14 Broadway. He approached the 64-year-old employee, took out a hand gun and demanded money. Th e employee gave him $450 in cash and the suspect fl ed the store. Th e individual is described as a male standing approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds; he was last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black coat, blue sweatpants and a black shoulder bag. Staten Island man cuff ed for Queens burglary string He can’t dig his way out of this one. A Staten Island man has been charged for breaking into six commercial businesses across Queens over a one-year span, allegedly stealing nearly $40,000 in cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown announced. According to the indictment, Hector Rodriguez, 38, broke into six grocery stores and bodegas in Queens Village, Woodside, Jackson Heights, North Corona and Jamaica by either cutting a hole in the roof or breaking a hole in the establishment’s back wall between Oct. 8, 2015, and Sept. 15, 2016. “Th e defendant is accused of brazenly burglarizing various businesses by literally breaking into the buildings — creating holes in rooft ops and/or walls to get inside,” Brown said. “He is now facing prison time for these alleged acts.” According to the charges, Rodriguez was allegedly observed in video surveillance footage in each of the capers wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sneakers, while carrying a crowbar and fl ashlight. Rodriguez was arraigned on Dec. 27 before Acting Queens Supreme Court Justice Toko Serita on a 15-count indictment charging him with fi ve counts of third-degree burglary, one count of petit larceny, four counts of third-degree grand larceny, four counts of third-degree criminal mischief and one count of third-degree attempted burglary. Bail was set at $100,000 and Rodriguez was ordered to return to court on March 8. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.
