He was 72. Weisel, who was born in the Bronx, lived in Hewlett with his wife, Billie. The family business, located in Glendale, has been run in recent years by his children and wife, and some of his grandchildren. Weisel is survived by his wife, Billie Barbash; sons Greg Zarek, Joe Zarek and Keith Zarek; daughters Dahlia Weisel and Lori Villani; sisters Amy and Nina and eight grandchildren.
