Special Winter Deals at NST’s Car Spa

When I went to talk to
Goody, the owner of
Car Spa, to follow up
on last summer’s article about
this great amenity at NST, he
asked if we could delay our
chat a few minutes. He wanted
to finish rinsing off a car, he
explained. “There’s soap on it.
I want to make sure it’s all off.”
When we sat down to chat, the
phone rang at least three times
from residents making appointments
for one service or another.
He was smiling on the phone,
polite and attentive to each, and
worked with their schedules. He
told me that business is good,
and with care like this, it’s easy
to see why.
10% OFF DETAILING
Goody wants residents to know
that he’s offering 10% off a full car
detailing from now through March
of 2020. Goody explains that the
harsh weather isn’t kind to cars any
more than it is to us. “The winter
elements, especially salt from the
streets,” he said, “stick to your car
and harm the finish.” Sounds like
our autos could use a little extra
TLC this time of year.
The detailing pampers your car
bumper-to-bumper on the outside,
including a hand wash; a clay rub,
which cleans off residual “gunk”;
compounding; a machine polish;
and a paste wax application that’s
removed by hand. The interior gets
the royal treatment too: a shampoo
and cleaned floor mats, dashboard
and trunk.
Goody says there’s even more to
the process but it’s just too much
to list here. His prices start at $125
before the discount. “Compare it to
other places in the area,” Goody
says, “which start at $200.” But
wait, there’s more…
LIQUID WAX SPECIAL
If you go to Goody for a regular
wash, why not give your car
a special liquid wax application
afterward? “This extra treatment
makes your car look shiny and
new,” Goody says. The charge at
Car Spa is usually $15, but Goody is
offering it now for $10, also through
next March.
