Presidents only serve 4–8 years, but they appoint Supreme Court Judges for life,” said Leon A. Beerman, who served as a Judge for the Supreme Court of Queens for 25 years. “For my generation, it’s so exciting to have been alive to see the first African- American president and maybe the first woman president,” Marjie Fink said. “From the time I was little, my mother brought me into the voting booth. She let me pull the lever,” Laurie Rogen said.
