 Tech store 
 Cops cuffed a man for allegedly  
 stealing a fanny pack stuffed with  
 tech on Aug. 10. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 suspect punched him at Hanson  
 Place and South Portland Avenue  
 multiple  times,  before  making  off  
 with his Nike bag, which had a  
 speaker and a phone charger in it. 
 Offi cers  searched  the  area  and  
 found the thief, arresting him for  
 robbery.  
 Strike like a dove 
 A burglar in need of a bath stole a  
 batch of Dove shampoo from a CVS  
 on Myrtle Avenue on Aug. 14. 
 An employee told police that the  
 soap scoundrel grabbed the cleaning  
 contraband from the store near  
 Ashland Place, before punching the  
 employee  in  the head and running  
 off. 
 Lady trouble 
 Cops cuffed a man for allegedly  
 beating his friend at Ingersoll  
 Houses on Aug. 10. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 brought a woman back to his apartment  
 on Carlton Avenue, prompting  
 a fi ght with his friend, who allegedly  
 punched him in the face and used a  
 scalpel to slice up his back. 
 First  responders  took  the  man  
 to  Woodhull  Hospital  while  police  
 cuffed his allegedly brutish buddy. 
 Identity theft 
 A prowler in need of a name got  
 what he needed on Aug. 9 when he  
 came  upon  an  unlocked  van  on  
 DeKalb Avenue. 
 A pirate looted an unlocked car  
 on DeKalb Avenue on Aug. 9. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 parked his work van near Rockwell  
 Place, but when he returned, he was  
 missing his bag — containing his  
 passport, drivers license, debit and  
 credit cards, and tax and insurance  
 ID for his business. 
 Vacation blues 
 A sneak stole a Cannondale bicycle  
 from an empty apartment on  
 Fulton Street sometime between  
 Aug. 6 and Aug. 13. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 and his roommate were both on vacation  
 that week, but when they returned  
 to the apartment near Hudson  
 Avenue, the $2,000 bike had  
 vanished.  
 He later told police he had found  
 it  listed  for  sale  on  Craigslist,  according  
 to police. 
 Sparks fl y 
 A  purloiner  had  a  speedy  escape  
 from a Carlton Avenue apartment  
 after he stole an  electric bicycle

 The bike’s rightful owner told police  
 that she had left the two-cheeler  
 locked in the hallway in front of her  
 apartment, but the sneak clipped  
 right through the cable and throttled  
 off before the victime knew  
 what was happening.. 
 Five-minute discount 
 A bike bandit stole a unattended  
 pedal pusher on Flatbush Avenue  
 on Aug. 14 
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 left  the bike parked and unlocked  
 between  DeKalb  Avenue  and  Fulton  
 Street for about fi ve minutes —  
 but in that time, a thief nabbed the  
 bike, worth more than $1,600.

 BROOKLYN HEIGHTS–DUMBO– 
 BOERUM HILL–DOWNTOWN 
 Carjacked  
 Some carjacker robbed a guy’s  
 car near Metrotech on August 14.  
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 left his car parked near Flatbush  
 Avenue at around 2 am, when he returned  
 the next day at 1 pm, someone  
 had broken in and nabbed his  
 Dell computer, iPhone, drill, and  
 hammer, worth $2,664 in total.  
 Wallet snatcher 
 Some cad snatched a guy’s wallet  
 in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Aug. 14. 
 The  victim  told  cops  he  placed  
 his bag down at around 9:15 pm  
 near  the  Furman  Street  entrance.  
 When he returned to it, his wallet  
 was gone.  
 High class 
 A thief stole a fancy purse from a  
 Macy’s on Fulton Street on August  
 15. 
 An employee told cops the shoplifter  
 nabbed the $1,000 purse from  
 the store near Hoyt Street at 11 am.  
 Strange rover 
 A carjacker stole a car from  
 Henry Street on August 11. 
 The owner of the car told cops he  
 parked his Range Rover near Henry  
 Street on August 10 at 5 pm. When  
 he returned on August 11 at 2:00 pm,  
 it had vanished.

 BENSONHURST—BATH BEACH 
 BUSted  
 A bandit nabbed a bus driver’s  
 backpack on Harway Avenue Aug. 9. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 locked the parked bus between 25th  
 Avenue and Bay 38th Street, but he returned  
 from his break at around 4:21  
 am to fi nd his belongings missing.  
 Apple picking  
 A shoplifter swiped two iPhones  
 from a Bay Parkway electronics  
 store on Aug. 9.  
 An employee told police that the  
 pilferer inquired about buying a  
 cellphone from the store between  
 65th and 66th streets at around 4:40  
 pm, before nabbing two phones and  
 sprinting away. 
 60TH PRECINCT  
 CONEY ISLAND—BRIGHTON BEACH— 
 SEAGATE 
 Cut off 
 Three brutes stole a guy’s cash  
 and iPhone when making him believe  
 he was purchasing a car on  
 Avenue Z on Aug. 9.  
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 snakes displayed a gun when he  
 reached the intersection of E. Seventh  
 Street  at  around  5:20  pm  and  
 stole the cash he had to obsentibly  
 buy the car.  
 Boardwalk brawl 
 A duo of villains mugged a  
 man of his chain and wallet on the  
 Riegelmann Boardwalk on Aug. 14.  
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 female thief stole his wallet from  
 his bag at the intersection of W.  
 29th Street at around 7:30 am while  
 her male  counterpart  wrestled  his  
 chain from him.

 A  city  Department  of  Transportation  
 worker was injured  
 early on the morning of Aug. 13 after  
 he was brazenly shot by a BB  
 gun while working in Midwood,  
 according to police. 
 It  was  reported  at  8:25  a.m.  
 on Aug.  13,  a  male  DOT worker  
 was  at  East  19th  Street  and Avenue  
 L  helping  repair  a  sidewalk’s  
 handicap access when he  
 noticed  that  he  was  shot  in  the  
 chest with a BB gun.  
 At this time, the NYPD could  
 not  provide  a  description of  the  
 suspect.  Parademcis  took  the  
 victim to an area hospital in stable  
 condition. 
 Police have not made any arrests, 
  and the investigation remains  
 ongoing.
