On Saturday, Oct. 14, and Sunday,
Oct. 15, LIC Flea & Food will be hosting
its second annual Queens Beer
Festival.
The unlimited beer tasting event will
offer you an amazing assortment of beer
curated by an industry expert. You will be
able to grab a taste from every Queensbased
brewery along with a curated
selection of brews from Brooklyn, The
Bronx and Staten Island.
Rockaway Brewing Company is just
one of the brews that will be on tap for
your tasting pleasure. They handcraft
every batch at their Long Island City
Brewery with the same fresh ingredients.
Local favorite Queens Beer
crafts great brews for the “World’s
Borough.” Included in their selection
is Queens Lager, an American lager,
dry-hopped with Summit, Chinook
and UK Pilgrim.
Once you’ve had your fill of Queens
beer, skip on over to Brooklyn where
Coney Island Brewing Company brews
craft beer that captures the spirit, flavor
and romance that is Coney Island. If your
taste buds are in the mood for a fresh
pale ale, Greenport Harbor Brewing
Company has just what you need. Their
Harbor Ale is a blended pale ale with a
healthy base of barley and wheat malt
for a subtle sweetness.
In addition, LIC Flea is also kicking
off its fall season with an array of new
vendors for you to shop! For global eats,
try Japanese/American fusion cuisine
from Tojo Kitchen. Once you’ve had
your fill, head on over to get something
sweet from The Unique Foodie Witchery.
They have delicious pies, cupcakes and
cookies that are baked with a little bit
of magic.
As always, the LIC Flea has plenty
of unique vendors selling all kinds of
vintage goods you won’t find anywhere
