With the summer still going strong, there is a lot coming up at the LIC Flea & Food, which will once again be back on Sundays starting in September. The popular Long Island City flea market, located at the outdoor lot on the corner of Fifth Street and 46th Avenue, has the summer weekends packed with fun events. Below is the schedule for the upcoming events at the flea market: Aug. 16: Home Sweet Home - visitors will be able to purchase furniture, home accessories and gift items. During this Saturday the duo Rocker Lockers and auctioneer John Luke from A&E’s “Storage Wars” will host a charity auction. Proceeds of the auction will go to supprt Life’s WORC. Aug. 23: In celebration of the US Open, the market will host the 2nd annual Table Tennis Competition. Aug. 30: Beach Day at LIC Flea Sept. 6 & 7: Fashion Flea Weekend Sept. 13 & 14: Antiques Weekend LIC Flea makes its return in September as the Astoria Flea & Food comes to an end on August 31. Offering the best in food, drinks, antiques, clothing, art, accessories and much more, the Astoria market is open Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the outdoor backlot of Kaufman Astoria Studios at 36th Street and 35th Avenue.
