■LIC PARTNERSHIP LIC SPRINGS! Come celebrate with neighbors at LIC Springs! on Vernon Boulevard. On Saturday, May 9, celebrate Long Island City at LIC Springs! on Vernon Boulevard between 50th and 46th avenues from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The second annual community block party will feature local LIC restaurants, shops, cultural institutions, artists and community organizations hosting a variety of activities, including: performances, live music, art and sculpture-making, fitness classes, games and relays, outdoor dining, dance and theater lessons, and more. The party is open to all ages! LIC Springs! is hosted by LIC Partnership as part of NYCDOT’s Weekend Walks Program, with generous support from Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer.
