PRESIDENT’S REPORT: BY STANLEY R. GREENBERG, CPA POST ELECTION FOLLOW UP: It is an unfortunate situation that, given the fact that shareholders had an opportunity to vote on three occasions (Sunday and Thursday afternoons at the clubhouse and Thursday night at the school), they could not make an effort to at least come down to the clubhouse and be counted as part of the quorum. We try to hold honest elections and this is the reason that we have this type of voting arrangement, but we need the shareholders to cooperate in order to obtain a quorum. All shareholders were given the opportunity to determine who they wanted on their Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Approximately 35 – 40 shareholders attended the Annual Meeting of LeHavre Owners Corp which was held at P.S.193 on October 24. Two hundred and seventy one (271) apartments, which included the 109 sponsor apartments, voted their shares. The actual shares voted were 192,918 which amounted to 26.46%. To make a quorum we would need a total of 347,013 shares voted (50% +1). As a result of the poor L E H A V R E N E W S 3 NOVEMBER participation, the current Board of Directors stays in place for the coming year. FINANCIAL: The three months through September 30, 2013 (budgeted versus actual) showed revenues $4,086,995 (25.69%) of the budgeted amount and total expenses $3,274,580 (21.60%) of the budgeted amount as reported by our accountants. I would like to wish all residents a very Happy Thanksgiving and, as always, I would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
