I have a BA from Hofstra

and negotiation skills.
What do you see as the
major priorities or Le Havre
for the next year?
To address any issues and
maintain the highest quality
of life Le Havre has to offer.
Additional Information:
I would like to take this
opportunity to introduce
myself to the residents of
Le Havre. My name is Susan
Stokar and I have served on
the board since 2019. I have
led the landscaping committee
in hopes of making our
investment more valuable. I
also participate on the interview
and finance committees
and partake in the monthly
board meetings. I’m always
available to listen to residents’
suggestions on how to
improve our property value
and take those suggestions
back to the board/management.
I returned to Le Havre after
living here for many years,
and I’m very passionate
about helping our community
in any way possible. I feel
that I am a good candidate to
serve on the board because
I have always been a team
player, have an outgoing
personality and an extensive
business, marketing and sales
background. My business
background has afforded me
many skill sets in the area of
communications and follow
through on various types of
detail-oriented sales projects.
It will come full circle for
me to continue serving on
the Board of Directors of Le
Havre, in any capacity for this
community that I am lucky
enough to call home.

Maintaining the stability of
maintenance
Five-year plan for capital

Maintain amenities, see that
the co-op is advertised better
and improve the marketing of
the co-op.
Additional Information:
As a resident of Le Havre
for the last 47 years and
a prior board member for
seven years, I remain committed
to the betterment of
the LeHavre community. I’ve
watched the neighborhood
grow over the years with
new members and families
and noticed so many of our
existing members remaining.
There are countless reasons
folks choose to join us and
decline to leave.
From serving as the Board
President for two years
and as a member of the
Recreation and Budget committees,
I have contributed
to this community on myriad
levels. I have been involved
with the cement work on
our porticos under our buildings
and helped re-design
our clubhouse & gym. I feel
our amenities help make
our co-op one of the prime
developments in Queens. I
was involved in our recent
successful fight against the
city tax increase and have
been working to bring our
community together through
mediation. I have a good
sense of what the community
cares about, and I know that
certain issues such as potential
maintenance increases
are extremely unpalatable.
If I am elected to the board,
my hard work and dedication
to this neighborhood will be
put forward to ensure that
the costs of living here are
not further increased, that
the expectation of residents
are met and that Le Havre
continues to be a great place
to live.
