FINANCIAL: For the two months ending August 31, 2014, the (budgeted versus actual) showed revenues $2,785,266 (17.17%) of the budgeted amount of $16,219,684 and total expenses $2,372,846 (15.34%) of the budgeted amount of $15,470,138. Annual Meeting / Board of Directors Elections: I would also like to advise you that the Annual Meeting of the corporation will take place at PS193 in Whitestone at 7:00PM on Thursday, October 23rd. As in the past, I urge you to try to attend the meeting or at least try to cast your vote for the candidates. In addition to voting at the school, we will be having three additional dates for voting at the clubhouse and they are as follows: • Sunday, October 19th from 10:00 – 2:00PM • Tuesday, October 21st from 5:00 – 8:00PM • Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00 – 6:00PM A “Meet the Candidates” night has been scheduled for Monday, October 6th in the clubhouse from 7:45 – 9:00PM. Please watch out for information on the election process from The Voting Group. As a shareholder of Le Havre Owners Corp., it is incumbent upon each and every one of you to exercise your voting right. This is the time of year when all shareholders have the opportunity to voice their opinions as far as the make-up of the Board of Directors goes which, in turn, has an effect on the way the co-op is run. Once again I urge you all to take this opportunity to cast your vote. LAUNDRY MACHINES: Coinmach will be featuring a demonstration (Laundry Room Open House) in our clubhouse on Sunday October 5, 2014 between the hours of 11:00AM – 12:00 noon, to demonstrate the new advanced Wascomat washing machines and upgraded card system. A representative will be present to answer any questions you may have on the new machines. Refreshments will be served and there will also be a drawing held to win a $50 laundry card. CEMENT WORK: We are very pleased with the way the cement replacement program is progressing. B#23, B25 and B#20 have been completed and, by the time this article gets published, B#5 will also be well underway. We would like to complete one more building this year if the weather permits.
