It was a clear, beautiful morning on
Saturday, May 18, when songstress Suzi
Shelton came to Le Havre to entertain kids
and their parents with some of her family
friendly songs. The event, which was
arranged by Urbn Playground, was held
outside Pool #2, and more than 30 Le Havre
residents came to enjoy the music.
Suzi hails from Brooklyn and came to
Queens for her first appearance at Le Havre.
She’s been on the “kindie scene” for well
over a decade singing her unique style of
upbeat pop-infused children’s songs and has
recorded four albums, including “Smile in
My Heart” and the recently released “Hand
in Hand.” She also has a popular program
on her YouTube Channel called “Sing with
Suzi.” And even though it was pretty early
in the morning, Suzi definitely got the kids
up to sing (and dance) with her.
After the show, Suzi said she had a terrific
time entertaining the kids. “You never know
if they’ll respond to the music,” she said,
“but today they really did!”
Valentina, a Le Havre resident, brought
her son Sebastian to have some fun. “I love
it!” Valentina said. “I love outdoor concerts,
it was wonderful. And Sebastian is learning
how to play guitar and piano, so it was
great!”
Urbn Playground Meet & Greet: On Sunday, April 28, Le Havre’s new clubhouse
management company, Urbn Playground, hosted a “Meet & Greet”
for the community. The gathering had a fantastic turnout of more than 100
residents who had a chance to mix, mingle and munch on bagels, sandwiches
