M A Y Le Havre Welcomes Urbn Playground
to the Clubhouse!
BY JILL DAVIS
MEET AMBER VACARRO, LE HAVRE
CLUBHOUSE MANAGER
AMBER
VACARRO
By now, many of you have probably met Amber Vacarro, the new
manager of the Le Havre Clubhouse. But you may not know much about
her, so the Le Havre Courier sat down for a chat with Amber to get to
know a little bit about her.
Amber graduated last year from SUNY Brockport up in Rochester,
NY. She worked as a lifeguard throughout college and at the Old
Westbury Golf & Country Club. Her credentials include being CPR
certified and she is a 1-A Level and Red Cross certified lifeguard (so
you’re in good hands!).
She also has experience in event planning, which will definitely come
in handy in Le Havre’s very active clubhouse. Prior to joining Urbn
Playground, Amber was a Marketing Coordinator at angelbeat, a technology
event company that creates seminars for IT professionals across
the country. “My job at angelbeat gave me real hands-on experience in
event planning and coordination,” Amber said.
“I’m very excited to be here at Le Havre and I think it’ll be a great
use of my experience,” she continued. “Everyone is really nice and I’m
looking forward to great times here!”

MEET JEREMY BRUTUS,
CO-FOUNDER, URBN PLAYROUND
JEREMY
BRUTUS
Jeremy co-founded Urbn Playground with partner Amy Blitz in 2016.
Although their company has been established only a few years, they
already have about 30 properties on their roster of clubs.
Jeremy didn’t start out in the hospitality business, though. “I was
pre-law back in college,” he explained, but while in school he was a
lifeguard at the Peninsula Hotel in Manhattan. He enjoyed it so much he
decided to skip law school and instead worked his way up to operations
manager at the Peninsula. “Do what you love,” Jeremy advises.
He eventually became general manager of the Meridian Hotel and
subsequently worked as a consultant to hospitality companies. His travels
connected him to Amy, whom he met about ten years ago. Eventually
he crossed paths with Amber and saw her in action in Old Westbury.
When Urbn Playground signed on with Le Havre, Jeremy immediately
thought of Amber, and she was a top contender for the clubhouse
manager’s job right away. “I never forget good people,” Jeremy said.
Get to know Amber and Jeremy, and all the great Urbn Playground
staff, on your next visit to the Clubhouse!
