N E W S MAY 6 L E H A V R E Le Cats Update Dear LeHavrians and Friends, Looking out of the window this “cool spring day” I’m wondering when spring is coming. The trees outside my window have buds on them, but they haven’t become lovely green leaves yet. I’m sure by the time I read this in our LeHavre Courier I’ll be complaining about how hot it is. Our furry felines who patrol and protect LeHavre from unwanted 4-legged rats do prefer the cooler weather. As most of you are aware, Le Cats on the Water will not be having the Spring Fling Sale/Baked Goods/Raffl e fundraising event in May. But Le Cats on the Water will be holding a wonderful Brunch with Le Cats fundraiser on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 11:00 AM - 2:00PM. This fundraiser will be hosted by Due Ponti Italiano Risorante located at 154- 11 Powells Cove Boulevard. There has been a new chef since the end of 2012 and the food is incredible, as is the service. If you haven’t tried their menu yet, our fundraiser would be an excellent chance to sample their food while donating to a worthwhile cause - making outdoor cats healthier and happier by not reproducing thru T-N-R (trap-neuter-return). Tickets for this fundraiser are $55. Besides a terrifi c menu, we will have great raffl e prizes. Already we have: Tony’s Beechhurst Deli located at 11-18 154th Street, Whitestone - a 3-foot hero - with summer coming, what a great meal to eat on your terrace On those summer (yes, it will come) days when you don’t feel like cooking, their take-out food is scrumptious!
