Le Havre’s 2018 Toys for The weather was crisp and bright on December 9 when
Le Havre held its 28th annual Toys for Tots fundraiser in
the Clubhouse. Generous donations poured in from local
businesses and Le Havre residents to make it a super-successful
event.
DJ Mario provided the holiday music to get the
kids going playing musical chairs, hula hoops and the
ever-popular “Freeze Dance.” A big hit of the day was the
“Snowperson” competition, where teams of two had two
minutes to create their snowperson with miles of toilet
paper. By now the kids were hungry and pizza arrived
from Cascarino’s. Santa made his entrance, said “Ho Ho
Ho!” to everyone and posed with the children for some
nifty photo ops.
As always, it was a team effort. Le Havre donated the
pizza, use of the Clubhouse, and took care of DJ Mario’s
fee (discounted for the fundraiser). Elite Pool donated
their staff, which included clubhouse manager Danny and
assistants Nick, Lauren, Brian and Frank (aka Santa), to
oversee the kids’ activities.
A terrific raffle offered a large assortment of goodies.
Special thanks go to Le Havre resident Joan Barber who
once again helped coordinate the raffle. Foodies went for
the donations from Villagio, Utopia Bagels, Tasty Grill
and Pizza Chef, while those who want to be pampered
were excited to see the contributions from Georgio’s
Stylists, Krager’s Spa & Hair, R&L Hair Salon and
Sunshine Spa & Hair. As always, the fundraiser was a
winner and surely gave lots of kids a very happy holiday!
Thank you everyone!
