The NYPD is looking for three
men who attempted to break into a
home in Howard Beach this week.
On Monday, March 2, around 6
a.m., three men donned in masks
and gloves got out of a black sedan
and approached a private residence
around 83rd Street and 159th Avenue,
according to the NYPD. They
tried to break into the home through
the front door, back door and rear
window but were unsuccessful in
all three attempts, according to
authorities.

A 51-year-old woman was home
during the attempted break in but
did not have contact with any of the
men, who soon after fled in the sedan,
police say.

Crook swipes diamond ring from Astoria Zales

The NYPD is looking
for a man who swiped
a diamond ring worth
thousands of dollars from
a Queens jewelry store.
According to police,
at 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 23,
a 49-year-old employee
at Zales, located at 31-07
Steinway Street in Astoria,
was assisting an unknown
man by helping
him look at the engagement
rings that were on
display. While the employee
was distracted,
the man was caught on
surveillance footage
swapping out the store’s
ring with a fake ring.

The suspect then fled the scene
with the genuine diamond ring, which
is valued at over $11,000.

Cops are looking for the crook who
stabbed a man several times inside
Live Maspeth last month.
Authorities say the 26-year-old
man was standing near the front of
the club at 59-60 55th Road when he
was approached by an unidentified
man just before 4 a.m. on Feb. 17. The
crook then slashed the man on the left
side of the face and stabbed him in the
abdomen multiple times with an unknown
object, police said.
The perpetrator proceeded to flee
the scene in an unknown direction.
EMS transported the victim, who sustained
stab wounds and lacerations, to
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in
stable condition.
Police released surveillance video
and photos of the suspect on March 6.

Duo robs straphanger in Jamaica: Police

The NYPD is looking for two men
wanted in connection with a robbery
in Jamaica last month.
On Sunday, Feb. 16 at approximately
2 p.m., two men allegedly flashed
a knife and removed a 25-year-old
male’s belongings including a credit
card, headphones and cellphone while
in the Sutphin Boulevard/Hillside
Avenue subway station, according to
police.
They left the victim uninjured before
fleeing in an unknown direction.
