Trump’s childhood home in Jamaica Estates up for sale
BY ZACH GEWELB
President Donald Trump’s
childhood home will go back
on the market this week. The
Jamaica Estates house will
be available to the highest
bidder through a sealed
bidding process.
Trump lived in the home
at 85-15 Wareham Road from
the time of his birth in 1946
until 1950. The home, cited
on the president’s birth
certificate, boasts 17 beds
is located near the F train.
The five-bedroom house sold
at auction in March 2017 for
$2.1 million.
ACRIS records show the
property was previously
sold in December 2016
to Wareham Holdings
LLC, which CNN Money
associates with real estate
investor Michael Davis, for
$1.3 million.
The March 2017
transaction is shown to
take place between this
organization and another
listed as “Trump Birth
House, LLC.”
If the CNN Money report
President Trump’s childhood home in Jamaica Estates is available to the highest bidder. Photos courtesy of Compass
is correct, Davis flipped the
property for a 54 percent
profit to another company,
harvesting rental revenue
from the president’s
Queens legacy.
Trump commented on the
sale of his childhood home
in September 2016, when
he was shown a picture
of the residence on “The
Tonight Show Starring
Jimmy Fallon.”
“That is where I was
born,” Trump said when
Fallon held up an image of
the home. “I had a really
good childhood. Oh, that’s
sad to look at that. I want to
buy it.”
