Hungry burglar
hits restaurant
There was a late-night restaurant
theft in the East Village on Tuesday,
Nov. 26, police said.
Around 12:50 a.m., a man allegedly
entered Ruby’s Café at 198 E. 11 St.
through the front door, then took about
$160 from the cash register before fl eeing
in an unknown direction, offi cials
said.

Smashed with
glass at eatery
An argument inside a restaurant led
to an assault on Dec. 8, police said.
Around 12:30 a.m., inside Los Feliz
at 109 Ludlow St., a man got into an argument
with a 23-year-old male victim,
police said.
The dispute escalated, and the man
allegedly struck the victim on his head
with a glass bottle, causing a laceration
to his forehead.
EMS responded and took the victim
to an area hospital, where he received
30 stitches.

Seventh Ave. attack
A woman was sexually assaulted and
punched by a male attacker while walking
on Seventh Avenue near West 23
Street, police said. On Monday, Dec. 9,
around 5:15 p.m., the woman said she
was walking, when an unknown man
allegedly reached under her coat and
touched her buttocks, then punched
her in the face, causing a contusion to
her upper lip. The victim said that the
man fl ed in an unknown direction, and
she left the scene to receive medical attention.

Cab driver assaulted on West Side Hwy. Missing wallet
leads to fraud
Police reported that a woman had
her wallet taken earlier this year and attempts
were then made to use a stolen
credit card.
On Jan. 23, around 6:30 p.m., near
Sixth Avenue and West 43 Street, a
23-year-old woman realized that she
no longer had her wallet, according to
offi cials.
Shortly afterwards, the woman received
a text from her bank informing
her that someone had tried to use her
credit card to make unauthorized purchases.
An investigation found that a purchase
attempt was made on that same
day inside a Foot Locker at 112 W. 34
St., at 8:47 p.m.

Domestic dispute
turns physical
A domestic dispute led to an arrest in
an apartment at 501 W. 29 St., according
to police.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, around 12:45
p.m., a 44-year-old woman said she got
into an argument with her husband,
which turned into a physical altercation.
The man, 32, allegedly pushed the
woman to the ground and bit her on
the back, causing a visible red mark,
offi cials said. The man left the location,
and the woman refused medical attention
at the scene. The husband was arrested
for misdemeanor assault.

A man was arrested after punching a
taxi driver on Friday, Dec. 13, police said.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m.
at West 15 Street at the West Side Highway.
The victim, a 57-year-old man who
was driving his taxi, got into an argument
with another man, police said, when the
man opened the driver door and allegedly
punched him in the face, causing a laceration
and swelling to his upper lip. The victim
refused medical attention at the scene.
Richard Llaurador Perez, 39, was arrested
for misdemeanor assault.

Late-night beatdown at Union Square
A man was attacked and robbed by
a group of people inside the Union
Square subway station, according to
police.
The incident occurred on Thursday,
Dec. 19, around 3:20 a.m. A
22-year-old male victim was sitting
on the uptown N-R platform waiting
for a train, when several people surrounded
him, offi cials said.
The group then allegedly assaulted
the victim and took his wallet and cell
phone, before fl eeing the station.
The victim wasn’t seriously hurt
and refused medical attention at the

Note-carrying crook hits Madison Sq. bank
Police are looking for a man believed
to have robbed a TD Bank across from
Manhattan’s Madison Square Park.
Law enforcement sources said the
crook took off with $600 from the
bank at 950 Broadway after slipping a
note to the 38-year-old teller, demander
her to turn over the money at about
3:25 p.m. on Dec. 9, according to police
sources.
The NYPD reported that the teller
wasn’t hurt during the robbery and
also released images of the suspect to
the public for assistance in identifying
the robber in the 13th Precinct.
