What has been your best moment in business?
The best moments of what I do is being able to impact the lives of the people I serve
on Probation and the Probation employees I supervise, who provides the service
What is your secret to success?
My secret to success is being open to learn from everyone. As my Uncle Elliott use
to always say, Sharun you are a sponge. you have absorbed all that was good
from everybody and it has enriched your life.
Who inspires you?
God inspires me and everyone whom I’ve ever encountered who has touched my
life. At any given moment, I can recount something or someone who has provided
me with inspiration or direction to move about my daily day.
Letitia “Tish” James is the 67th Attorney General for the State of New York. With
decades of work, she is an experienced attorney and public servant with a long
record of accomplishments. She is the first woman of color to hold statewide office
in New York and the first woman to be elected Attorney General.
Ms. James was elected Public Advocate for the City of New York and became the
first woman of color to hold citywide office. Prior to serving as Public Advocate, Tish
James represented the 35th Council District in Brooklyn in the New York City Council
for ten years. Before her election to the City Council, Tish James served as head
of the Brooklyn Regional Office of the New York State Attorney G eneral’s Office.

What has been your best moment in business? CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS
I will be constructing a 12 story condominium unit in a joint
venture arrangement. My real estate development corporation
is reaching a milestone that I have been working
toward for many years.
What is your secret to success?
If you are managing a business, you must learn perseverance.
When you get blind-sided by unexpected setbacks,
you have to get up, dust yourself off and continue to push
forward.
Who inspires you?
Cheryl McKissick who is the President and CEO of McKissick
& McKissick, the largest black owned real estate company
in the country, inspires me everyday. I tell myself to never
give up. Her grandfather started the firm not far removed
from being a slave in the 1890s.
Camile Joseph-Goldman is the Group Vice President for
Government Affairs at Charter Communications, where
she has overseen and managed all government affairs,
strategic partnerships and investments, consumer protection,
and telecommunications regulation from New Jersey
to Maine, which has included the company’s large presence
in New York State.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Joseph-Goldman earned a
BA in Politics and History as a Presidential Scholar as well
as her MA in Politics at New York University. As a proud
member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.,, she has participated
as a mentor at various youth empowerment programs
across the City, and has been involved in educational
and healthcare initiatives for underserved youth in
Jamaica and Haiti.
Chaplain Ingrid P. Lewis-Martin currently serves as the
Chief Advisor to Eric Adams, the Mayor of New York City. In
this capacity, she works in partnership with the First Deputy
Mayor, Chief of Staff, and all direct reports to the mayor to
support operations at City Hall and advance the Administration’s
strategic policies and priorities. Immediately prior,
Chaplain Ingrid served as the Deputy Brooklyn Borough
President to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, following
her having proudly served for more than five years
as the borough president’sSenior Advisor. Before going
to Brooklyn Borough Hall, Chaplain Ingrid served as then-
State Senator Eric Adams’ Chief of Staff for seven years,
managing his offices in Albany and Brooklyn.
