The Spirit of the Season!
certainly paid off. Thanks to our residents’
generosity, 112 coats were brought to the
River Fund Organization in Richmond
Hill, Queens. Everyone will be happy to
know the coats are being distributed at
their walk-in center.
For those of you who aren’t familiar
with River Fund, this organization serves
multiple communities to empower those
living below the poverty level to move

thanks again to Cryder Point residents
for donating to this worthy cause.
THANKSGIVING FOOD
DRIVE
We hit it out of the park again this year
thanks to the giving spirit of our residents.
A dozen large cartons were filled to
capacity and given to the Grace Episcopal
Church Food Pantry here in Whitestone.
Pasta, stuffing, yams, cranberries, soup,
rice and assorted staples certainly went a
long way toward helping our community
in need. Thank you, Cryder Point!
On a side note, we weren’t able to donate
goods to St. Fidelis this year as we
have in the past. But there’s a happy reason:
The St. Fidelis pantry is under renovation.
We’re looking forward to helping

Cryder Point Community Affairs
spearheaded two terrific drives over
the past several weeks. As always, our
community stepped up and contributed
generously. Thanks to go out to all who
contributed and to the volunteers who
helped put the drives together: Mona
Blumenreich, Dorene Finnegan, Joseph
Leonardi, Barbara Lowy, Celesta Micelli,
Janet and Brian Murphy, and Board liaison

ONE WARM COAT
DRIVE
The coat drive was held earlier this year
to make sure that warm coats are available
in time for the cold weather, and it
fill St. Fidelis’ shelves next year!
