Halloween Party 2019
BY JILL DAVIS
2019’s Cryder Point Halloween Parade and
Party on Saturday, October 19, was treated
to spectacularly clear, crisp weather, which
made the outdoor activities that much more
fun.
This year, the 21/41 Courtyard featured the
fall garden display (our thanks to Queens
Garden Center) and was where the fun
kicked off at noon. Egg carrying and sack
races took place on the lawn—note that burlap
sacks were not available and large white
bags were clever, impromptu stand-ins. The
action then moved inside to the 01 Community
Room for refreshments and games. The
costumes were fantastic as always, and even
the grown-ups joined in. By 2:00 it was time
to call it a day.
Thanks once again go to Cryder Point
Community Affairs volunteers for organizing
the event, including putting together the
decorations, games, snacks, beverages and
activities. Thanks also to Elite Amenity Management
for allowing us to “borrow” Shaun
McNally to help out. As always, he did a terrific
job and everyone was really glad to see
him post pool season.
It was a beautiful afternoon, and no doubt
everybody is looking forward to next year’s
Halloween party!
