A reminder about the contest
rules:
The photographer must be
a resident of Cryder Point,
and all photos must of the
property or of a view from
the property. They also must
be current, that is, taken no
more than a couple of months
before you submit them.
Any description of where
you were on the property,
the day of week or time of
day…any details that you can
provide which bring your
neighbors into the moment
of the photo…are eagerly
welcomed.
Submit your pictures to
jdavis@qns.com and yours
might be selected to be featured
in the paper. Please
be sure to put “Cryder Point
Photo” in the subject line of
your email and include the
full name of the photographer
and an approximate date
of the picture.
Barbara Princenthal submitted a most appropriate endof
summer picture of our promenade, which is featured on
this month’s cover.
However, John Ducroiset was not to be outdone. He’s
taken some of the most unique pictures over the years, and
shares this month’s Photo of the Month honors. His timing
was spot-on for this memorable moment during a pretty
treacherous storm in August. Thanks go to Barbara and
John for sharing these terrific pics.
Thanks also go to Joe Hollander and Marsha Gellert for
their terrific photos, as well as to Rob Cohen for his triple
play of egrets over our pier (sorry, Rob, for the corny caption.
I couldn’t help myself).
With September here, Autumn will be here before we
know it, so it’s a good time to grab some warm weather
images before they go away. And remember, the days are
already getting shorter, so take advantage while you can.
