C R Y D E R P O I N T APRIL 6 First annual Easter Egg Hunt a HOPPING SUCCESS It was a HOPPY, happy and windy Easter celebration on Saturday, March 23, as about 20 children from 1-11 years of age joined in the first annual Cryder Point Easter Egg Hunt. Sponsored by the Quality of Life Committee, the event was held between the 01 and 21 buildings. The children scurried about collecting eggs filled with surprises (erasers and plenty of candy). Following the egg hunt, there were potato sack and spoon races. Even the parents had fun watching their children scurry about collecting eggs and participating in the races, cheering them on. Everyone was a winner! Cryder Point Terraces: April Update 6 cryder point courier | APRIL 2013 | WWW.QUEENSCOURIER.COM Work will begin on the 41 Building starting with the G/H and J/K lines the week of April 22. Here are some guidelines for all residents to help you prepare for the work: Air Conditioners Window units: Do not remove your window air conditioners. The engineer will be installing filters on all window units. Split Systems: Units sitting on the terraces must be removed. Units mounted on the exterior wall of the terrace do not need to be removed; however, CPOC, Xinos and Merritt Engineering will not be held responsible for any damage caused to your units during the work. Terrace Furniture, etc. All items must be removed from the terrace. CPOC cannot store your items. If you need assistance in clearing off your terrace, contact your concierge. Terrace Enclosures The contractors will be removing all of the enclosures at no additional cost; do not hire anyone to remove your enclosure. Please be advised that your current enclosure will not fit on new or reconstructed terraces; the engineer is currently developing a design that will be used going forward, and information on that will be forthcoming as we receive details. Terrace Tiles If you have approved perforated tiles, it is recommended that you keep them to be reinstalled after the work is complete. If you have any questions as to whether your tiles are approved for reinstallation, contact the Office and the manager will check for you. Parking The work is being organized to be as least disruptive as possible to residents. Residents will only be asked to move their cars on an asneeded basis and for as short a time as possible. Security Workers will be given only one door to enter and exit the building and will be clothing or I.D. tags to identify them as authorized personnel to be on the property. For extra security, however, do not hold a door or allow anyone in whom you do not personally recognize, and keep your terrace-facing windows closed and locked throughout the duration of the work on your terrace. If you have any additional questions, please contact the Office at 718-767-5003.
