India beat West Indies by six wickets
to clinch the three-match series
in the third and final One-Day International
(ODI) 2-0 at the Queen’s
Park, Oval, Port of Spain. One match
was abandoned because of rain.
Chasing a daunting 255-run target
in 35 overs under the Duckworth/
Lewis method, India cruised
to the finish line with 15 balls to
spare.
Captain Virat kholi (114 not out)
produced another masterclass batting
and with Sheryas Iyer, who once
again produced excellent support,
hitting a 41-ball 65. They shared a
120-run partnership for the fourth
wicket after India were in trouble
after losing Shikhar Dhawan and
Rishabh Pant out in the same over.

job of helping the West Indies batsmen
ahead of the two Tests against India
starting this week in Antigua and the
final Test in Jamaica later this month.

King and Dominick Scantlebury
accounted for the U-19 gold.
The Bajan pair went through a gruelling
encounter in the final Sunday
evening to beat Trinidadians Leon Cassie
and Vance Juteram 18-21, 21-11 and
21-8 in the 2019 CAREBACO (Caribbean
Badminton Confederation) Junior
International Badminton Tournament
being played at the Wildey Gymnasium
Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.
This Tournament, which runs to
