Killer, still one of the hottest acts on
the scene nearly 30 years after his
debut, has lent his unique sound to a
hot new collaborative track with upand
comer Tia.
Their song, “Nice Up”, is, in effect, a
party-starting track.
“And they have a music video in
the works for the project, too,” Sarah
A. Freiseis, special projects manager
at the Brooklyn-based entertainment
company PlayboodMG, told Caribbean
Life.
In the meantime, Bounty released
a lyric video for the song via his Verified
Vevo Channel on YouTube (https://

“The lyric video is a playful cartoon
featuring Tia and Bounty as characters,”
Freiseis said. “Their avatars are
super fly and exude an authentic vibe,
singing and dancing at a club scene
– quite literally portrayed before a DJ

“The pair proves a powerful combo
both musically and in performing
together,” she added. “The Troyton
Music production is, undoubtedly, an

onset of COVID-19 pandemic quarantine
by participating in a Verzuz battle
with former rival turned collaborator
Beanie Man,” Freiseis continued.
Bounty Killer has also revealed
that, after 18 years, a new album pro-

When it comes to writing hit
songs, the expertise of Barbadianborn
Grammy-nominated, singer
songwriter Shontelle Layne are
unmatched, according to Trinidad
and Tobago Newsday.
“So, it’s no surprise she has written
hits for international superstars,
like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Bruno Mars,
Sean Paul and Beenie Man,” reported
the publication on March 5. “In
fact, it was her work as a co-writer
on Rihanna’s 2011 single ‘Man
Down’, which gained Layne the title
of Grammy-nominated artiste.”
Newsday said the song’s parent
album, “LOUD,” was nominated for
Album of the Year at the 54th Annual
Grammy Awards in 2012.
“But Layne, known simply to her
