Mumbai Indians recently clinched
their record fifth Indian Premier
League (IPL) title with relativelycomfortable
five-wicket win over
Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International
Stadium in Dubai, United Arab
Emirates (UAE).
West Indies Twenty20 Captain,
Kieron Pollard and left-handed West
Indies batsman, Shimron Hetmyer
failed to make an impact in the final
game, but Pollard’s team did enough
to lift the trophy.
Pollard told reporters: “It’s great
feeling, I’ve been here 11 years, fifth
trophy. No one see the planning and
training. It’s pressure playing for a
franchise like this.”
Pollard also lifted the Caribbean
Premier League (CPL) trophy as captain
of the Trinbago Knight Riders
and was at the helm of the West

Trailblazers to complete a 16-run win

Women’s Twenty20 Challenge
in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
recently.
Dottin made 20 and shared a half
century opening stand with her captain,

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz overcame
numerous off-the-field challenges to
bounce back and beat Saudi Arabia’s
Green Falcons 2-1 in the second fixture
of a two-match friendly football encounter
to draw the mini-series one-all.
The Boyz had flown to the middle
eastern country for two warm-up
matches on Nov. 14 and 17 in preparation
for the Confederation of North and
Central American and Caribbean Football
prestigious Gold Cup competition,
scheduled for mid-next year.
