John Campbell, president
of QCAANY told Caribbean
Life that this special group of
business owners were selected
for their continuing donations,
which enabled QCAANY
to maintain its financial
and other needs-based assistance
to the current students
at Queen’s College, a high
school in Guyana.
“With the onset of the
COVID pandemic, like other
non-profits, QCAANY found
itself to be severely limited
in its ability to fund raise and
acquire the financial resources
necessary to extend assistance
to its chosen charity
at the levels to which it was
accustomed prior to the pandemic,”
said Campbell.
He noted that the corporate
donors stepped in and
in many instances increased
the level of their donations
to QCAANY and “this event
is a recognition of their largesse.”
He said that in recent
memory, this was the first
time that QCAANY is honoring
their major corporate
donors in this public manner.
