DJ Stakz said the New York

He said Kompa this year

DJ Stakz pride himself in
being “steadfast in creating
unmatchable events” with his

the Haitian American
Diaspora and Spring Break
Haiti.”
During the pandemic, DJ
Stakz said he has become “a
relief to our essential workers
— the essential worker for
the essential workers” — by
taking his passion for music
and creating “the antidote of
hope and positivity” with his
social media live streams.
He said he has also been

on major media platforms
such as VP Records, Vibe
Magazine and I am Caribbeing.

day, Sept. 7, and Panology on
Saturday, Sept. 26.
“Get ready for Brooklyn’s
first ‘Virtu-Live’ Carnival
experience!” WIADCA said,
stating that it’s “a coordinated
effort to unite our cultural
partners, acknowledge
past and present supporters,
and elected officials, honor
essential workers and those
we lost as this year’s Virtual
Marshals.
“This momentous occasion
will mark our city’s strength
and resilience in the midst of
COVID tragedies,” it added.
“At home, viewers can tune
in live to view documentary
style clips of carnival and
J’ouvert celebrations, partner
messages, performances and
more.
“For youth and adult masqueraders,
you can still put
on your costume and show
the world your homemade
designs,” WIADCA continued.
Panology will be held from
8:00 pm -11:00 pm.
“Calling all pan enthusiasts.
Are you missing Brooklyn’s
Panorama? Have no fear,
Panology is here!” WIADCA
assured, urging enthusiasts
to join it, along with Pan in
Motion, for “some pan yard
talk as we delve into the revolution
of the steel pan.
“Log on to enjoy the sweet
sounds of steelpan from the
comfort of your home,” it
added.
“COVID-19 has robbed us of
many loved ones,” said Trinidadian
Angela Sealy, longtime
WIADCA board member and
current chairperson. “Our
cultures, our roots, and faith
will move us forward past the
pain.
“Talented young people on
our new board and within
our membership understand
what must be done. Feel confident
and stay committed,”
she added.
“The WIADCA legacy continues
uninterrupted,” the
carnival group assured. “For
2020, we go viral as we inaugurate
our 54th year using
technology and digital media.
“COVID-19 will not break
us,” it added. “We refuse to
give in. As the tip of the spear
that leads into the future, the
show must go on for generations
to come.”

Moviegoers are first invited
to drive on to a Red Carpet
with backdrop type setting for
a photo-op, after which, they
move into formation, to view
black films on a mega inflated
screen.
Barchus, chief operations
officer of Bounce Playground,
explained, that “Movies in
Your Car, “highlights black
culture.
“When the pandemic hit, I
believe that, some of the black
communities were affected
the most, and in these times,
and in the height of everything
that is going on, people
need an outlet, so it is a good
time to celebrate our cultural
heritage, and what better way
to do so, than with movies
featuring some of the biggest
black stars you have ever hear
of,” said Baracus.
He added that every week a
variety of new films would be
shown, especially since there
are many family films that
would be enjoyed by everyone.
“We want everyone to come
out for some pandemic relief,”
he mused.
Worthy, the chief executive
officer, spoke excitedly about
the now, 2021 launch of the
all-inflated traveling amusement
park that hinges on the
cessation of the coronavirus.
He said this is the first, of
its kind in the United States,
with over 100 attractions,
including rides and games.
Some of the most exciting
attractions, will be a 67
ft. slide, a 6000 sqft major
bounce house, as well as a
“double-dare” – the second
largest obstacle course in the
US, that is a quarter of a mile
long.
The park has five different
parts and features gaming,
and STEM sections to encourage
both learning and fun, as
every playground should be
to help kids to grow, Barchus
shared.
He said the first inflatable
park would be installed at
Citi-Field in Flushing Queens,
since five acres of land would
be needed for such a vast entertainment
park. It will then be
taken down and transported
across the Unites States.
The film series will continue
through Sept. 27. To learn
