Six Caribbean beauties will
on Saturday evening, June
15, contest the Miss New York
Continental 2019 Pageant at
the Wingate Campus Auditorium
in Brooklyn.
According to Yvonne Peters,
the Vincentian-born president
and founder of the Brooklynbased
Caribbean American Cultural
Group (CACG), organizer
of the event, the contestants
will represent Haiti (2), Belize,
Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent
and the Grenadines, and
Guyana.
The contestants are: Haitians
Jessica Pierre, 19, and Dalexis
Helphdgine, 23; Belizean, Jasyra
Franklin, 24; Trinidadian,
Zaza Blackman, 18; Vincentian,
Kayla Mcletchie, 22; Guyanese,
Tiffany Whittaker, 24.
Peters said the contestants
will appear in evening and
swim wear. They will also state
their platform will answer the
judges’ questions, she said.
Doors open at 5 pm; the
show starts at 6 pm.
Wingate Campus Auditorium
is located between Ruthland
Road and Winthrop Street
in Brooklyn.
