Adams is a former
educator who wants to bring
a community organizing
approach to the City Council.
A public school alum and child
of a union household, she has worked alongside

the district, and educate people about changing

Victoria Cambranes
Cambranes is a selfdescribed
“District 33 lifer”
and community activist who
hopes to bring her “people-first
approach” to the City Council
while re-prioritizing the city’s budget for middle-

Community Board 1’s Women’s Issues Committee,

Sabrina Gates
Gates is a member of the
Kings County Democratic
Committee and a resident of
Brooklyn Heights for over two
decades. Having long served the
city’s nonprofit sector, Gates plans to prioritize
affordable housing, small business, education,

Toba Potosky
A resident of Cadman Towers
in Brooklyn Heights, Potosky
feels there’s a disconnect
between City Hall and the rest
of us. Potosky got his start in
community housing 16 years ago, advocating for

Lincoln Restler
Restler is running because he
wants to be a 24/7/365 resource,
organizer, and problem solver
for the district. In 2008,
he helped found New King
Democrats and in 2010, he was elected District
Leader of Greenpoint and Williamsburg. He
plans to focus on citywide issues like affordable

Stu Sherman
As a legal service attorney,
Sherman assist with housing,

As a community liaison

budgeting for Levin, Solotaire
says he knows the needs
