Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz and his offi ce concluded their annual holiday canned food drive, which will benefi t local food pantries at Kingsbridge Heights Community Center and St.
Frances of Rome. Dinowitz’ offi ce received food items from local schools and businesses who organized collection boxes of food items.

WLCA CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
The Waterbury LaSalle Community Association held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting
event on Saturday, December 14. The event featured both Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Santa was
brought to the event by FDNY Engine 89.

FARIAS HOSTS WEST FARMS TREE LIGHTING
Committeewoman Amanda Farias hosted her second annual ‘West Farms Christmas Tree
Lighting and Photos with Santa Claus’ event on Saturday, December 7. The event was held
in conjunction with Fordham Bedford Community Services West Farms Community Center,
Bronx Bound Books, Senior Whole Health and local woman-owned business NextRound Productions.

RED HATS’ TRIP
The Red Hats took a Christmas trip to NYC
earlier this month, thanks in large part to
Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, who provided
them with a van to take their trip. The
trip also celebrated the birthday of Red Hat
member Sybil Nucci.
