BANTAMSBarino’s
Market picked
up the 3-1 win this week
against Side Street Sports.
The goals were scored by
Ghali Dahib , Nicolas Nikci,
and Michael DeLuca. Emanuele
DiMaggio was the goalie
in the fi rst half and didn’t let
any past him. Sam Anastasiou
and Gianni Timoneri
were all over the fi eld fi ghting
to win the ball back. Isabella
Sanchez played a great
game in defense.
Charlie’s Angels does it
again!Their streak continues
as they win their 4th
game 4-1 vs Gary’s Super
Cuts. Early on, it was a 1-1
game until the Angels picked
up momentum and scored
three more goals. Michael
Guarnieri (2) followed by
Sabrina and Leila Ben Mansour
who scored one each.
Vironica Velez who dribbled
the ball passed three
players just missing a goal.
Another fantastic job by
Damianna Devita and Valentina
Ragusa playing forward
and advancing the ball
up the fi eld to their teammates.
Awesome job by Guiliana
Impellizzeri, Catherine
Ruocco, Dominick Barba,
Luca Tardibuono, Johnny
Siegmund playing forward
and defense. Johnny Siegmund
also saved a goal by
stopping a player from the
other team that was about to
shoot at the goal and booting
the ball to the opposite side
of the fi eld. Outstanding job
by our goalie Olivia Ramos
with the incredible saves.
Gary’s Super Cuts played
Charlie’sAngels on Sunday

GIRLS MAJORSOn
Saturday, Capital
Shield Insurance plays hard
against Crosstown Diner
with no subs, winning 5-0.
Congrats to Emily Negron
in the net with her fi rst shutout
of the season. Defense
was held strong by Daniella
Mosca and Iliana Torres
throughout the game.
With standout midfi elders,
Neomi Gonzalez and Mia
Lappe, who stayed on Crosstown’s
key players, stopping
any passing from getting by,
while Danielle Shack manages
to get 2 amazing goals.
Followed by Amber Kurtovic
with 2 more coming all the
way from midfi eld and a fi -
nal goal by Ayla Sanchez
with an assist from Lillian
Kavanagh.
On Sunday, Capital Shield
Insurance continues their
winning streak against Spellman
HS taking a win of 4-2. It
was a tense game but the girls
fought hard to keep their
streak alive. Amber Kurtovic
played impressively, scoring
2 of the goals in the fi rst
half but Spellman switched
it up and tied the game until
the second half when defensive
players Isabella Smith,
Emma Kurtovic and Daniella
Mosca held up their wall. But
Capital Shield played strategically
and continued to
work together with Danielle
Shack, Lillian Kavanagh and
Ayla Sanchez passing the ball
around until Amber scored
goal number 3 taking the lead
back. Goalie, Emily Negron
stayed ready at the net and
Neomi Gonzalez stayed focused
in the midfi eld. As Mia
Lappe had an amazing goal
off a corner kick. Her fi rst
goal of the season. A shoutout
to Isabella Perry, we hope you
heal and get better soon!!
