BANTAMS
Burns and Rodriguez secured
their fi rst win of the season
this weekend in a great
matchup against Gary’s Super
Cuts. Continuing his hot
streak, Michael Cautillo scored
4 goals. Contributing to the improving
offense was Aj Strawn,
Gemma Sanchez, Cole Picard,
and Sofi a McSherry. Our fearless
goalies, Dominic Castaldo
had a once in a lifetime save
and Christopher Berger saved
a handful of goals as well. And
fi nally defense was secured by
the defensive dynamic duo Joseph
Dinapoli and Molly Enrigbt.
Jaxon Tucci and Elisa
Palatulan helped their team
immensely by playing both
offense and defense during
the game. Congrats on your
fi rst win team, every week
we are improving and Coach
Annemarie and Coach Christina
are very proud!
Charlie’s Angels are unstoppable!
Continuing their
winning streak, this time
against Barino’s Market. It
wasn’t just about goals this
time, but more about defense
and holding back the strong
opposing team from scoring. It
worked! Unbelievable defense
by Dominick, Veronica, Catherine,
Luca, and our 2 goalies,
Johnny and Olivia. With a
combined effort they allowed
0 goals to be scored against
them. Valentina, Guiliana,
and Damianna played great
offense moving the ball up the
fi eld. Michael stayed in mid
fi eld and returned the ball up
fi eld to the awesome duo, Sabrina
and Leila who scored a
total of 3 goals for a 3-0 shutout!
Keep up the good work, very
proud of all the kids!
BOYS MAJORS
D’Abbraccio Foundation
with 5-2 win against Patrick
Wynne Atty this week. Justin
Barberan continued his
weekly scoring with 3 more
goals, as did Giuseppe Miniero,
with 1 goal, and Connor Delatorre,
whom not only contributed
with his defensive prowess,
but also scored a monster
goal from midfi eld. Danny Lopez
and Edward Vargas displayed
strong play, keeping the
opposing goalie busy and assisting
in several goals. Other
strong play by David Cruz, Joe
Tucci, and Jayden Lopez anchored
the defense. William
Schwartz played goal for the
fi rst time this season, looking
like he has played the position
his entire life, making countless
saves, especially during
a late game barrage. These
young men never fail to impress.
GIRLS MAJORS
Cardinal Spellman picked
up a win against Brewskies
this weekend. Kailey Siegmund
continues to shine on
offensive, passing beautifully
and continuously teaching the
younger girls as she plays. Olivia
Tucci and Angelina Rodriguez
played their positions
great, which lead them both to
scoring their fi rst, and second,
goals of the season. McKenna
Delatorre was a huge help on
both offense and defense covering
the midfi eld area. Teagan
Connolly, Annie Jones,
Jadelyn Sanchez and Isabelle
Smith all played terrifi c defense,
each having a big part in
our win. Our amazing goalies,
Sofi a Miles and Mya LaValle
made it possible for a shut out.
When Sofi a took to the fi eld in
the second half, she scored her
fi rst goal of the year, ending in
a 5-0 win.
Capital Shield Insurance
wins against Crosstown Diner
5-1. The fi rst half was tough
with a goal scored against Capital
Shield in the fi rst ten minutes.
Then the team worked together
and fi gured out a way
to get around their defense.
With a goal scored by Ayla
Sanchez and an assist by Lillian
Kavanagh the team was
back in business. Another goal
was scored by Daniella Mosca
coming all the way from the
defense line. In the second
half our goalie Emily Negron
came on the fi eld and defensive
play stood strong by Emma
Kurtovic and Isabella Perry
insuring no goals would get
through. While midfi elders Iliana
Torres and Neomi Gonzalez
