PS 153/MS 180 host ’Dads Take Your Child to School Day’
On Sept. 23, PS 153 and MS 180 hosted the 15th annual “Dad Take Your Child to School Day.” The event was in partnership with Bronx Fathers Taking Action,
Capital Prep Bronx, Real Dads Network and The Dad Gang. It was refreshing to watch fathers walking their children to school to be applauded and thanked for the
role they play in their child or children’s life. Some fathers smiled and waved, others teared up.
NYS Sen. Jamaal Bailey, Ronald J. Hartridge, parent coordinator at PS 153/MS 180, and several
fathers from the school who are infl uential in the roles they play in their children’s lives.
