Staff at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, kneeled for 9 minutes last week to honor
Black Lives Matter and to mark the untimely deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery.
Floyd, an African-American, was killed by police during an arrest in Minneapolis
on May 25, 2020. Protests in response to both Floyd’s death, police violence against
other black people, quickly spread across the United States and internationally.
