Hunts Point Alliance for Children recently hosted a launch
party for their new initiative ‘Our Children’s Journey’ on
Wednesday, January 29 at O.U.R. Place - Family Enrichment
Center at 940 Garrison Avenue.The mission of ‘Our Children’s
Journey’ is to connect Hunts Point families with the capacities
and knowledge needed to support the development of
their children from prenatal to age eight.

On Thursday, February 6, NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi celebrated the offi cial graduation ceremony of its newest special
offi cers at the NYC Hospital Police Academy. The graduation ceremony, which included 26 offi cers from all fi ve boroughs,
marked the culmination of 10 weeks of intensive training for the offi cers, a curriculum including training in basic NYS
criminal procedure law, penal law, procedural justice, powers of a peace offi cer, justifi cation/use of force, radio use, arrest
procedures, preventing and managing crisis situations and First Aid/CPR.
