MONTEFIORE GIVES BIKES TO P.S. 11 STUDENTS
On Thursday, December 19, Montefi ore Health System’s Quality Collaborative spread holiday cheer at P.S. 11 by giving bicycles
to 11 students to promote active and healthy lifestyles. The bikes, which were built by the Quality Collaborative team,
were awarded to students who have shown outstanding work in their classrooms as well as participation in extracurricular
activities. Students also received helmets, locks and bike safety training. An additional 12 bikes were also distributed to P.S.
199 students the following day.
P.S. 11 students received bikes, helmets, locks and bike safety training for the holidays thanks to Montefi ore’s Quality Collaborative.

POPULAR BANK ALLOCATES $$ TO BX-BASED NON-PROFITS
Popular Bank recently awarded nearly $24,000 in grants to Bronx-based non-profi t organizations including BronxWorks,
Dominicanos USA, Inc., Eugenio Maria De Hostos Community College Foundation and Women’s Housing and Economic Development
Corporation, which will be used towards the organizations’ programs and workshops.

CB2 HOSTS HOLIDAY PARTY ATTENDED BY SEPULVEDA
Last month, Community Board 2 held their annual holiday party, which included a toy drive for the children in attendance.
