BY AL D’ANGELO
The hypocrisy of the left
has no bounds. The President
of the United States contracted
COVID-19 and some
politicians, some in the news
media and in Hollywood are
rejoicing. What manner of
people are these who purport
to support those in need, those
who are homeless, the downtrodden
and wish harm on
their president because they
disagree with his politics?
Leaders all over the world
have expressed their concern
and send messages of hope. His
adversary Joe Biden sent his
heartfelt wishes for a speedy
recovery. People who are so
fi lled with hate have destroyed
and burned our cities, made
excuses for their activities
and many of the Hollywood
elite and politicians donated
money for bale for lawbreakers.
How can you care about
others when you have so much
hate in your heart? Our country
will never come together
if we cannot agree to disagree
and respect the opinion of others
even though they disagree
with ours.
It is disturbing when people
like Lebron James, a talented
basketball player and multimillionaire,
bashes the USA
but refuses to condemn China
who imprisons and enslaves
millions of Muslims. Here he
has freedom to say what he
wishes, and he has been outspoken
about the treatment of
Black people in America and
the country in general. Why
if he is so interested in human
rights won’t he speak out
about the atrocities in China
could it be that he has fi nancial
ties to Nike which does a
lucrative business in China?
How much does it cost to
buy your integrity? Justice
doesn’t have a price tag, it is
something we should do because
it’s right regardless of
the consequences. Our country
continues to grow because
of those who stand up for injustice,
many past injustices have
been brought about by greed.
The treatment of the American
Indian, slavery and the
treatment of new immigrants
are things we are not proud
of and it took strong people to
stand up and change the mind
of a nation while others stood
by. I feel we will truly come
together as a nation when we
congratulate a person for an
achievement without having
to mention his religion or ethnicity.
Nov. 3 is election day, this
is the time when Americans
stand up and chose who will
represent us, our nation our
state and our local communities.
We should not decide
along party lines we should
examine each candidate and
decide which one holds with
our values and vote for them
regardless of party. Don’t be
afraid to split your ballot.
Take time to examine the candidates.
It’s our time to stand
up.
