Morris Park Business Improvement District
WORKING TOGETHER FOR A CLEAN, SAFE
AND THRIVING MORRIS PARK AVENUE!
Thank you NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and Partnership for Parks!
The Morris Park BID thanks our colleagues from the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and Partnership for
Parks teams for their support for programs in Loreto Park. On Saturday, November 3, community children enjoyed a
“Watercolor Painting Workshop” provided by the NYC Parks, Bronx Recreation and supported by MPBID with
refreshments and hand sanitizers. On Sunday, November 4, the MPBID together with Friends of Loreto Playground and
Community Board 11 member Natali Medina along with local volunteers removed the weeds and invasive species
around the Loreto Park swings area, and planted crocus bulbs at the park entrances. We look forward for completion
of the work on the Morris Park Avenue side of Loreto Park, to make possible events and activities for the community.

Great news: infrastructure updates for Morris Park Avenue sidewalks!
Beginning Monday October 5, 2020 and for the following 2 weeks approximately,
Morris Park Avenue intersections from White Plains Road to Bronxdale Avenue will
receive upgrades of our sidewalks infrastructure, according to information received
from the NYC Department of Design and Construction Office of Community
Outreach and Notification.
Temporary access restrictions will be in place Monday-Friday from 7:00am to
6:00pm to facilitate rehabilitation and installation of pedestrian ramps. The Morris
Park BID much appreciates the information from our DDC and DOT colleagues.
