HEALTH & EMPOWERMENT CENTER BBQ
On Friday, July 26, Jacobi’s Health and Empowerment Center hosted a BBQ for patients and
staff. On hand was Dirk McCall, an aide of Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., to greet patients
and congratulate staff on their ongoing efforts to improve sexual health in the Bronx.

Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual ‘Back to School Literacy & Health’ Fair
on Wednesday, August 14 at Poe Park. The event was co-sponsored by Empire BlueCross
BlueShield and Montefi ore; raffl e prizes were donated by Modell’s Sporting Goods and the
Wildlife Conservation Society.
